DE Company Dancers Start the 2024-2025 Season Strong!

Our DE Company Dancers are thrilled to be back together to kick off the 2024-2025 dance season!

Dancers and their families started the year off right, with a joyful welcome back gathering. Our youngest company members joined with our oldest members and had a blast playing fun team building games, which helped hone their communication skills and also brought a ton of laughs. Parents also met and were well equipped with plans and expectations for the great year ahead. Of course, no one left hungry as we all munched on a feast of goodies. Thank you to everyone who made the day such a sweet success!

After a little fun, dancers quickly jumped back into their training at the September Dance Masters of America Workshop. Our dancers had the privilege of joining together with our fellow Chapter 17 Mid Atlantic DMA Association dance studios in Ferndale, Maryland to take ballet, jazz, tap, lyrical, and contemporary technique classes taught by experienced, professionals in the dance field. Our Sparkling Stars, Rising Stars, Teen and Senior Company members all took part in the weekend. Everyone worked very hard, represented DE well, and came out of classes smiling!

More recently our dancers have been working diligently to learn new choreography for the year ahead. In total they are currently working on at least 6 new dance pieces, and collectively preparing for exciting future performances. Under the excellent leadership of Ms. Pam Schrier and Miss India Blake & Miss Angelika our dancers are learning so much more than just dance steps as they are being mentored toward their goals, encouraging one another, and doing their individual best to grow as a team.

All this brings us to our next community performance, this Sunday, October 6th. We are excited to share the stage once more with Greater Annapolis Ballet Theater along with other local artists at the fourth annual HOPE Concert benefiting the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. We’d love to invite you all to join us in the audience. All proceeds will benefit this worthy cause. Dancers will take the stage at 12:00 PM at the Annapolis Town Center.
